Universal Waste (Bulbs & Batteries) | Solana Center for Environmental Innovation – PROGRAM TEMPORARILY CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Solana Center accepts drop-offs on Thursdays 12PM – 5PM and on Saturdays 9AM – 1PM. At the center we can accept the following u-waste items for City of Encinitas residents only:
– Batteries, Household Batteries, Lithium Ion Batteries, and Rechargeable Batteries
– Halogen Light Bulbs, Fluorescent Light Bulbs, and Fluorescent Light Tubes
To prepare your batteries for recycling, Package used batteries in a plastic bag. For added safety, scotch tape over the contact points to prevent accidental shocks.
