Poway Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility
Services are reserved for residents of the City of Poway, City of Del Mar, City of Carlsbad, City of San Marcos, City of Solana Beach, City of Encinitas, City of Vista, and City of Escondido only.
Please note that City of Escondido residents who call this facility will likely be referred to EDCO Escondido to make an appointment; however, their HHW waste is still accepted here if they show up.
Household hazardous waste and electronic waste is accepted.

Services:
– Drop off every Saturday from 9 AM – 3 PM, no appointment necessary at 12325 Crosthwaite Circle, Poway, CA 92064. Proof of residency required.
Hours of operation:
– Every Saturday from 9 AM – 3 PM. Call Poway Public Works Department at (858) 668-4710 for more information.
– Please check the Poway HHW website for any holiday Saturday closures.
Maximum Transportation Limits:
-15 gallons of liquid or 125 pounds total volume of household hazardous waste.
Handling instructions:
-Leave products in the existing container, if possible.
-Ensure lids are on tight so containers will no leak.
-Transport containers in the trunk or in the back of the vehicle away from passengers and pets
-Do not transport over 15 gallons or 125 pounds at one time.
-Containers used for transport must be no larger than a 5 gallon bucket.
Other requirements:
-Bring proof of residency in the form of a drivers license or a utility bill.
-Gasoline needs to be in an approved container, commonly found at auto parts stores. Please note, containers are not returned.
-Needles/sharps should be transported in a rigid, puncture-resistant, tightly-sealed container, including: bleach bottles, liquid detergent bottles, or coffee cans with lids.
-Empty containers can be recycled in your blue bin.
