Foster families from all over San Diego County visit the shop on a regular basis because they get children’s clothing for 50 cents a piece and a 50% discount on all other merchandise. Foster children come with only the clothes on their backs and must be ready for school the next day!
We depend on quality donations of children’s clothing, pajamas, toys, shoes, books, jackets, and pretty much anything else you see in your child’s bedroom!
They collect donated bikes and gear at all of their stores and events. The bikes are shipped to sister shops in Africa and refurbished before being made available to the local community. Your donated bikes give them access to education, health care, food/water and employment they did not have beforehand.
It empowers people in need, one bike at a time.
How it works
Simply bring in your donation bicycle (and/or gear) to one of our stores and drop it off at the collection bins during regular business hours (M-Sat 10-7pm, Sun 11-5pm). We will take down your contact information and email you a 501(c)(3) receipt that you may use to deduct your bike donation on your taxes.
Your bicycle is collected and shipped to one of numerous shops across Africa where they are given new life. They are refurbished by local mechanics and sold at an affordable price which creates jobs, stimulates the economy and gives the freedom of mobility.

We recycle right here in San Marcos, CA with a State of California authorized recycler. None of our recycled items go overseas to some 3rd world county that unsafely breaks them down. Electronics have very toxic materials in them, that’s why we make sure they are not going our into the environment.
