Goodwill will not accept household hazardous waste such as household batteries or fluorescent light bulbs or items with broken/cracked screens.
Schedule Pickup
Goodwill provides free donation pickup services for large furniture and large quantities of items (corporate donations, pallets, 50+ boxes, etc.). Pickups are not available on demand, which may result in up to a one month wait time. For more details or to schedule a pickup, please contact donations customer service at (619) 225-2200 extension 197 or email donate@sdgoodwill.org. Representatives are available Monday – Friday 8 AM – 4:30 PM.
Goodwill Soft Plastics Program
To participate in the collection program, donors can bring clean and dry soft plastics to any of our participating retail locations. The soft plastics we accept include the following: plastic film, single use grocery/retail bags, cling wrap, bubble wrap, air pillows used for shipping, newspaper sleeves, case overwrap (like for water or soda), and other product wrap.
If the package is shiny or makes a crinkly/crunchy sound in your hand, it should not be included. If you’re unsure if your plastic can be donated, see if the package will stretch when you pull it. If yes, it can be included. If it tears like paper, please leave it behind.
Donation Hours
- Every day 9AM – 6PM at the rear
- Monday-Friday after 6pm at the front of the store.
