Batteries Plus Bulbs – Vista
Batteries Plus Bulbs will recycle spent light bulbs, ballasts, and used Alkaline batteries (D, A, AAA, etc.). Old-school incandescent bulbs are safe to dispose of in trash. LED and CFL (the curly ones) bulbs need to be properly recycled and are accepted here for $1 per bulb. Average price to dispose of fluorescent light tube is about $1 per foot per each tube.*
Special instructions: -Fluorescent light tubes and bulbs contain mercury; special handling is required if the bulbs or tubes are broken.
Call 1-800-237-2583 to find a local household hazardous waste collection facility to dispose of broken bulbs and tubes.
*Only accepts fluorescent tubes that are 4 ft or smaller.
