Residential Cleanup Event | Saturday, Feb 28, 2026, 8AM-12PM | Joan MacQueen Middle School
Please join us for an Unincorporated San Diego Residential Cleanup Event at Joan MacQueen Middle School (2001 Tavern Rd, Alpine, CA 91901) on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 8am – 12pm or until capacity is reached. Lines are longest during the first hour.
The following items will be accepted:
- Bulky items (furniture, broken appliances, etc.)
- Electronic waste including TVs, computer monitors, printers and cell phones
- Recyclable materials including #1-7 plastic containers, aluminum, glass containers and cardboard
- Green waste including hedge trimmings, tree branches and weeds
- Mattresses and box springs
- Scrap metal
NOT ACCEPTED: Household Hazardous Waste (HHW), tires, construction materials, and business waste.
The event will also include FREE paper shredding services, FREE mulch, and will accept reusable items for donation.
This event is open to Unincorporated County of San Diego residents only.
