What can I donate to Father Joe’s Villages?

CLOTHING: Virtually all types of clean, gently-used clothing and shoes, including women’s, men’s, kid’s, children’s, baby’s dresses, shirts, pants, skirts, shorts, sandals, tennis shoes, sneakers, heels, flats, boots and more.

JEWELRY: Virtually all types of jewelry, including rings, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings.

ACCESSORIES: Virtually all types of accessories, including purses, bags, belts, ties and wallets.

HOUSEHOLD: Small appliances in working condition (microwaves, blenders, toasters, coffee makers, etc), dishes, glasses, silverware, bedding, linens, pillows, rugs, comforters, home decor, baby items (see restrictions below), art work and frames.

FURNITURE: Any furniture that can be carried by no more than two people, including couches, love seats, armchairs, chairs, dining room sets, tables, coffee tables, mirrors, nightstands, headboards, office chairs, non-wooden desks, dressers, entertainment centers and more. All items must be gently used or in new condition. We cannot except things that are torn, stained or broken. See additional restrictions below.

ENTERTAINMENT: Books & textbooks, toys (stuffed animals, dolls, action figures, etc), sports equipment, board games, DVDs, CDs and vinyl records.

Father Joe’s Villages has several donation drop-off locations and free pick-up from most San Diego locations. Drop-off locations include our Furniture Warehouse, our San Diego thrift stores in Imperial Beach and El Cajon and our Daily Household Goods Auction site. All merchandise donated to the Ramona Food & Clothes Closet Thrift Store helps to support their mission to assist low-income individuals and families with food, clothing, furniture, house wares, medical equipment and referrals to other social service organizations.

RFCC does not accept ripped, stained, broken, or otherwise unacceptable furniture, electronics, sporting gear, or exercise equipment.

Mobile Re-Screen

Mobile window screen and screen door business. They fix or replace old worn out window and sliding door screens as well as door screens. They can fix wheels that are broken or lost and have the ability to fabricate new frames and screen doors on the spot. They will try to work around your work schedule and can take credit cards

This facility is closed on the following holidays:  New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Customers pay for products at the landfill entrance and pick up materials at the Miramar Greenery after showing their receipt. Those who hand-load mulch or compost need to provide their own tools such as a shovel, container and tarp. Those who paid for compost, wood chips or mulch will have their vehicle loaded by one of the Greenery equipment operators. All vehicles must have their loads covered. It is advised to bring and wear a dust mask while loading and spreading the material.

Goodwill Donation Storefront – Tierrasanta

Electronics Accepted

Goodwill accepts all types of electronics such as TVs, cell phones, computers, laptops, monitors, printers, tablets, video games consoles! Goodwill will not accept household hazardous waste such as household batteries or fluorescent light bulbs or items with broken/cracked screens.

Schedule Pickup

Goodwill provides free donation pickup services for large furniture and large quantities of items (corporate donations, pallets, 50+ boxes, etc.). Pickups are not available on demand, which may result in up to a one month wait time. Thank you for your donations and dedication to Goodwill. With your support we are able to provide employment and training opportunities to people with disabilities and other barriers to employment. Over the past few years, we have seen a huge increase in landfill fees because some of the donated items cannot be sold in our stores, outlets or be recycled. The amount we are spending on landfill and HAZMAT disposal fees could be better used to serve more people in our community. We have created a list of items that we cannot accept at our donation centers. Please let us know if your donation is rare or a collectible and we will make sure it is given to the correct handler.
